WE THE PEOPLE MUST ACT
Brother, Sisters and INDIANS,
26/11 has been a very huge tragedy, and let it not deter us. We will fight, we will elect better leaders, and we will work hard. What happened on 26/11 was a reminder (quite a devastating one for that matter) of how vulnerable our political and security system is. Today, changing it is in the hands of people we have elected, but who seem to have failed miserably. What we don't think about though is what WE as people can do to improve the situation. Today it is common for any Indian individual to pay a subsisted amount of money (bribe) to an officer in order to go Scott free, when one has committed a traffic crime. What many don't understand here is that we are beginning corruption, although in a very very small case, which builds up to things like cases where government officers take bribes from terrorists, in order to allow the passage of explosives and ammunition to India. No one imagines to what proportions corruption started at an early age reaches, and when it does, it results in devastating events. What one can learn from this, is to prevent corruption, one must attack it at its roots, and by attacking at its roots i mean WE THE PEOPLE, ACT. We could always pay a fine in full, or else should not commit the traffic crime in itself.
With such easily bribable law enforcers, wouldn't it be easy for terrorists to easily smuggle explosives and ammunition into the country and cause terror? So what i say is that do this much little and save your country! Anyone of us, i know, wouldn't want a terror attack on us again would we?
We must be vigilant, but we must never be suspicious because all of us are Indians, and if we create discord among ourselves we WILL be terrorized, attacked, and exploited. Of course if you do find something really suspicious do report it immediately to a law enforcement agency.
USA learnt a lesson after 9/11. Are we going to?
In the last few months India has been attacked by terrorists. Cowards as they are, they are intelligent. They know and pin point to loop holes and attack it. We must never under-estimate them, and we must counter them in an equally strong way.
We must go to the root mentality of Terrorists and counter it at that.
What i conclude with is that do your bit in this, its not that ' Just leave it to the government' and when the government fails criticize them. I'm not saying dont criticize them, after all that's what a democracy is all about. Criticize them, but do so after you have done all bits and pieces you can do at your level.

Olympics Delhi 2020

The Olympics are proceeding, with India (Abhinav Bindra) just got its first Gold Medal. In contrast we have USA (Michael Phelps) getting 8 Golds.
In the meanwhile, bids for the 2020 Olympics are going on, in which London has decided to support New Delhi for the Olympic bid.
I say, are we ready?
Yes, we are. Rather, if we get the responsibility, we will get ready.
Take Pune as an example. In October this year, we have the Commonwealth Youth Games here. Today the city is preparing itself with such unity, such splendor. Roads are as good as two lane express ways, there are trained people coming and training school children to perform on the opening ceremony of the CYG 2008. Pune is rising as one, and there has been as much improvement in the infrastructure here, as there hasn't been in the past 3-4 years.
Even the corrupt politicians reduce corruption. They have some pride for their country (at least in front of 'foreigners') they also work hard. And you wont believe the results, they are amazing.
So I say go ahead Delhi, HOST THE 2020 OLYMPICS, Hon. ex-president A.P.J Abdul Kalam has said, India will be a superpower in 2020.
Jai Maharashtra, JAI HIND!

Nuclear Deal Fundas : Cleared
Recently (Only day before yesterday), the Trust vote was held, and it was voted that the N-Deal go ahead. I observed that most of the people around me (believe me they are quite aware about current affairs) didn't know the details of the N-Deal. The N-Deal was proposed quite some time back (about a year), and so the details are not fresh in our mind.
The N-Deal actually does not interfere with our Military Nuclear Programs. However there is one condition that civilian and Military Nuclear Programs be separated, which is a sort of security to ensure that sensitive technology of the USA Military does not get used up in our military.
The Bush govrenment actually helped India, in a way that in 1972, the USA banned the export of Nuclear stuff to India. Furthermore, things that could be used in Nuclear Equipment ( or could have dual use), like medical equipment (which by some means the Stu- Americans proved could have dual use), or advanced computer technology, etc. This meant that Indian Scientists couldn't have access to cutting edge and latest technology to further research on. This hindered the progress of India. In order to export this material one had to acquire a certificate (which required 12 signatures of people in US administration, which were really difficult to get), which took years, and by that time the business parties weren't interested anymore in dealing in it. However the Bush Administration realised (quite late) that India had talent, and in banning this material to be exported to India, it was in a away harming the world. So they opened the gates.
The USA will supply us with Nuclear fuel (Uranium). However, The US will have the right to seek return of nuclear fuel and technology but it will compensate for the costs incurred as a consequence of such removal.
There is also a provision for a one year notice before any termination of the agreement.
Well, these are certain things that one must know, and any future updates will be kept posted.

For The backward castes, By The Government of the people
Today in class we were studying history (Nazi's and Hitler), when our Sir gave an example and related the Nazi scheme of racial discrimination with the past treatment ( In ancient times) to the backward castes/tribes.
He told us how jews were made to sit in different sections of the classroom while studying and later on they were removed from "desirable students" (Aryans school). I Totally disagree with this horrific system.
But our Sir also related the story to Dr. Ambedkar (A Dalit and a great human being), who while studying in school was made to sit in a far corner. Later on He did his doctorate and was active in the struggles for Dalit equality. His aim was Dalit equality, NOT DALIT DISCRIMINATION.
Today 61 years after Independence, The dalits are still dependent on the government. Today a BC/OBC/ST student securing say 60% in the JEE gets entrance whereas a student scoring 90% doesnt. what kind of discrimination is this? The pure talent of the country is getting diminished. Due to such policies most of the youth prefers working abroad, studying abroad (where there is no reservation and admissions are based on pure merit) etc.
In todays TOI Students edition, there was an article how Indian people contribute millions of dollars in Tax to the American government. Imagine if all these taxes are paid to the Indian government. This means better infrastructure, better funding for IIT's , IIM's etc.
And here is the main thing about reservation.
A student getting 60% in the JEE almost certainly may not be ble to handle what is being taught.
This means that a seat in the prestigious IIT's goes waste.
So this means a waste of the tax payers money/governments money for the IIT are heavily subsidised by the government in the hope that that money gets converted into national engineering talent.
Furthermore, I know as a fact that many college going boys bunk lectures taught by some BC/OBC/ST lecturers because he cant lecture well. Things like and english lecturer says "Myself Mr. Whatever" ??? I mean what is this.
This will finally lead to a presumption that BC/OBC/ST teachers/lecturers/engineers are incapable because they have not passed the qualifying exams in a correct manner (I dont mean by cheating).
nd so finally it will all boil down to one thing :
THE SOCIETY WILL START CONSIDERING ST/SC/OBC INCOMPETENT AND THERE WILL BE DISCRIMINATION
now whose fault is it??? That Bramhins?? The upper castes??? No, It is the governments for doing this for and excessively prolonged time and the ST/SC/OBC 'S for blindly accepting the various political parties promises not forseeing what may come.
So here i conclude this article, and request all you readers to pass it on, and comment on what you think of it. If the press gets to know this we may see the end of reservetion atleast reduction in the near future.
Thank You
